Los Angeles: A female who has previously claimed Steven Tyler experienced an illicit sexual romance with her when she was a teen is now suing the Aerosmith frontman for sexual assault, sexual battery and intentional infliction of emotional distress.
The lawsuit brought by Julia Misley was submitted Tuesday under a 2019 California legislation that gave grownup victims of childhood sexual assault a a few-year window to file lawsuits for a long time-outdated scenarios of assault. Saturday is the deadline to file these types of promises.

The 65-12 months-aged Misley, formerly known as Julia Holcomb, stated in a statement that she wished to seize “a new opportunity to acquire authorized motion versus individuals that abused me in my youth.” The Affiliated Push does not title victims of sexual assault unless they publicly establish them selves.
Though the lawsuit does not identify Tyler, Misley determined him by title in the assertion, issued as a result of the law company Jeff Anderson & Associates. She has also recounted her ordeals with Tyler in prior interviews, and Tyler reviewed a connection with a teenage woman in two publications, released in 2011 and 1997. The acknowledgements part of his memoir Does The Sounds In My Head Hassle You? thanks a “Julia Halcomb,” which Misley has said is a reference to her.
Representatives for Tyler did not right away return requests for remark Friday. Rolling Stone first described the lawsuit.
The lawsuit alleges Tyler “used his position, position, and ability as a very well-regarded musician and rock star to acquire obtain to, groom, manipulate, exploit, sexually assault,” Misley over a period of time of three many years. Some of the abuse happened in Los Angeles County, the lawsuit reported. As a consequence, she has endured severe psychological damage as very well as economic losses, the lawsuit reported.
