THE Bases Conversion and Enhancement Authority (BCDA) was recognized anew as a single of the best-accomplishing federal government-owned and -controlled organizations (GOCCs) in the Philippines, just after it obtained an “outstanding” evaluation score in the 2021 Company Governance Scorecard of the Governance Commission for GOCCs (GCG).
This is the seventh consecutive calendar year that the BCDA has scored about 90 % on its functionality scorecard. This displays BCDA’s ongoing enhancement in providing reliable and effective guidelines and tactics in company governance and stakeholder relations, pursuing disclosure and transparency and implementing Board responsibilities with competence and accountability in line with excellent governance conditions.

Lorenzana, along with BCDA Director Reghis M. Romero III and BCDA Government Vice President and COO Officer-in-Charge Gisela Z. Kalalo, gained the Certification of Recognition during the GCG Company Governance Scorecard for GOCCs Awarding Ceremony previous December 5 at the Philippine Global Convention Center.
The GCG-applied scorecard aims to raise company governance criteria methods for GOCCs, patterned soon after the Asean Corporate Governance Scorecard and grounded on the Concepts of Corporate Governance of Point out-owned Enterprises by the Firm for Economic Co-operation and Advancement (OECD) on par with Asean state-owned enterprises.
