A legendary previous Bolton headmaster has wowed ex-pupils and colleagues with a shock overall look on primetime television.
Frank Vigon, now retired, has been regarded to generations of pupils in the borough as the maverick headteacher of Turton Large Faculty Media Arts College.
One particular pupil he produced a individual impact on was actress Sophie Willan, and the pair had been reunited on this week’s episode of BBC1’s Would I Lie To You.

Outlining her connection to Mr Vigon, she jokingly explained: “This is Frank, he kicked me out of faculty for arriving in a Bikini!”
